Dr. Elder was born and raised in Atlanta. He moved to Gainesville in 1992. He earned his medical degree at Emory University School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in Pediatrics through Emory University School of Medicine at both Egleston Children’s Hospital and Grady Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Elder is board certified in Pediatrics and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He has also served as Chief of Pediatrics at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Dr. Elder is married and has three sons.


Dr. Johnson, a native Georgian, completed his bachelors degree at Emory College of Emory University. He obtained his medical degree at Emory University School of Medicine. He completed both his internship and residency at Keesler Air Force Base in Mississippi. Dr. Johnson also served as Chief Resident for the Department of Pediatrics. Dr. Johnson is board certified and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He has also served as Chief of Pediatrics act Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Dr. Johnson is married and has three children.


Dr. Gottsman, a native of Gainesville, earned her Bachelor’s degree from Emory University and her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia.  She completed her pediatric residency at Vanderbilt University Children’s Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.  After finishing her residency, she stayed at Vanderbilt as one of the teaching faculty for the residency program for the next two years.  She served as Assistant Professor of Pediatrics.  Dr. Gottsman is board certified and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.  

Dr. Gottsman is married and has two daughters.


Dr. Surles is a native of Florida and completed her bachelors degree at the University of Central Florida in Orlando. She obtained her medical degree at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. She completed her residency in pediatrics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she served as co-Chief resident. She remained in North Carolina for the next six years working in private practice pediatrics. Dr. Surles is board certified and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

She is married and has triplet boys.


Dr. Onal, a native of New York, completed his bachelors degree from Ithaca College, in Ithaca, New York. He obtained his medical degree at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his Pediatric internship and residency training at the University of Florida/HSC in Jacksonville, at Wolfson’s Children Hospital and Shands Medical Center.

Dr. Onal is married.


Dr. Finch, a native of Georgia, obtained her bachelors degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her medical degree at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. She completed her pediatric residency at the Medical College of Georgia Children’s Medical Center. She remained in Augusta for two years after finishing her residency and practiced pediatrics in a group setting. Dr. Finch is board certified and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is certified in Neonatal Resuscitation.

Dr. Finch is married and has two sons.


Dr. Carey earned her bachelor’s degree from Emory University and her medical degree from the Medical College of Ga. She completed her pediatric residency at Vanderbilt University Children’s Hospital in Nashville, Tn. After finishing her residency she spent one year on the teaching faculty at Vanderbilt as an Associate Professor of Pediatrics. She was then in Tampa, Florida for two years where she practiced pediatrics in a group setting. Dr. Carey is board certified and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Carey is married and has two sons.



Dr. Hilton, originally from Columbus, Ga, obtained his bachelors degree from UGA, graduating summa cum laude. His medical degree and residency training in pediatrics were completed at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. Dr. Hilton is board certified and is a fellow member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He practiced for three years in Winder, Ga, where he served as Chief-of-Staff at Barrow Regional Medical Center and Medical Director of the newborn nursery before joining Pediatric Associates.

He is married and has two children.

 

Kristi, a native of Georgia, earned her associates and bachelors degrees in nursing at Clayton College and State University. She obtained her Masters of Science degree as a family nurse practitioner from North Georgia college and State University, and completed her post-masters certificate as a pediatric nurse practitioner from Georgia State University. Kristi is a member of the Georgia Nurses Association, National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners, and Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society. Along with her board certification, Kristi is certified in Neonatal and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.


Kristi is married and has three children.
