McGee Hopper, MD

Dr. Hopper​ was born and raised in Athens and earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia and medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon. She then moved to Birmingham, Alabama to complete residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and Children’s of Alabama. After residency, she remained in Birmingham to serve as Co-Chief Resident of UAB's Pediatric Residency program. Dr. Hopper is board certified in Pediatrics and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She joined Pediatric Associates in the fall of 2022.

Dr. Hopper is married to her high school sweetheart. Her family, as well as her husband’s family, still live in Athens. She enjoys spending time with her husband and their dog, a Labrador Retriever mix, and cheering for Georgia football.
